David Slutzky is co-founder of Skeo Solutions and currently serves as Board Chairman and Senior Land Use and Urban Policy Advisor. He has more than 25 years of experience working with policy issues in the White House, at federal agencies, as a local elected official, and as a businessman.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Slutzky served as a Senior Policy Advisor at the White House, coordinating the International Task Force of the President's Council on Sustainable Development. While there he focused his efforts on the environmental implications of international capital flows, sustainable development, urban environmental issues and NEPA issues.
Mr. Slutzky has also served as the Managing Director for McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry where he worked with major corporations to redesign industrial processes to reflect ecological and social equity, as well as economic concerns.
In addition to his work at Skeo Solution Mr. Slutzky holds a joint appointment as a Research Associate Professor in the Society, Technology and Society Department of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at University of Virginia, and in the Urban and Environmental Planning Department of the School of Architecture at University of Virginia. Mr. Slutzky also served on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors from 2005 - 2009, and Chaired the Charlottesville-Albemarle MPO.
David is a self-professed policy wonk and educator committed to preservation of sensitive ecological systems and improving the lives of working families through better public policy.
